Provisional residence permit (mvv)

If you are going to live in the Netherlands for longer than 90 days, you will in many cases have to apply for a residence permit. A condition for a residence permit is a provisional residence permit (mvv). An mvv is a special visa that allows you to enter the Netherlands. For most nationalities, you need an mvv to be able to apply for a residence permit. The conditions for an mvv are strict. Our jurists can assist by advising you and applying for this visa on your behalf.

Short stay

In most cases you also need a visa if you want to come to the Netherlands for a maximum of 90 days. You then apply for a short-stay visa. With this visa you can travel to the Schengen countries and Switzerland. When applying for this type of visa, it is important that your purpose of travel is clear. In addition, you must have sufficient financial resources at your disposal and demonstrate that you are going back to the country of origin. We can help you by preparing you for the process and informing you. If your application for a visa is denied, we can represent you during an appeal procedure.

Facilitating Visa

If you are the parent of a minor Dutch child and you want to live in the Netherlands with your child, you will need a residence permit depending on your nationality. You also need a visa to enter the Netherlands. This is a facilitating visa. Are you traveling with or to a family member who has the nationality of the EU/EEA or Switzerland? Then you can also apply for a facilitating visa. You can apply for the visa at the Dutch representation in the country where you live.

We can provide you with legal representation in the above procedures, but also in other cases. Explain your situation to us. We are happy to assist you.
